Job Summary

Safe Transport Services S.C. is seeking a proactive, organized, and results-driven Human Resources Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of HR experience and a strong understanding of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, KPI development, and HR administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employees, improving organizational performance, and fostering a productive workplace culture.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or with related field of study

  • HR certification or additional HR training is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of proven experience in Human Resources or Administration.

  • Experience in employee performance management and KPI development.

  • Experience developing and tracking employee KPIs.

  • Experience conducting employee performance reviews and evaluations.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and orientation.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

  • Monitor employee attendance, leave, and disciplinary records.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor employee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Coordinate employee performance evaluations and appraisal processes.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HR and performance reports.

  • Support training, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Ethiopian labor laws.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and department managers on HR-related matters.

  • Assist management in setting departmental and individual performance targets.

  • Analyze employee performance data and recommend improvement plans.

  • Handle employee grievances and promote a positive work environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.

  • Understanding of Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and HR best practices.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
