Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations of the organization.

  • Prepare financial records, payment vouchers, and expense reports.

  • Handle petty cash management and support budget monitoring.

  • Maintain accurate financial documentation and organized filing systems.

  • Support procurement, office administration, and asset management activities.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for management and projects.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial procedures.

  • Provide administrative support to staff and management as required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong practical knowledge of bookkeeping, financial records, petty cash, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree/Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Good working knowledge of Ethiopian tax requirements, payroll, procurement documentation, and financial procedures.

  • Highly organized, accurate, trustworthy, and able to manage accounting responsibilities independently with minimum supervision.
