The HR & Admin Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative, human resources, and tax-related functions of the clinic. The role includes overseeing staff files and contracts, ensuring compliance with labor laws, handling payroll processes, and coordinating government reporting, including monthly and annual tax declarations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, attendance, and leave management.

  • Coordinate staff recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes.

  • Support performance appraisal processes and enforce clinic HR policies.

  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor law and internal HR standards.

  • Handle disciplinary actions and HR-related conflict resolution.

Administration

  • Manage clinic office operations including supplies, facilities, and logistics.

  • Coordinate administrative support across departments and ensure proper filing systems.

  • Assist management in scheduling meetings, preparing internal communications, and handling correspondence.

  • Support licensing and regulatory renewals as needed (e.g., business license, professional licenses).

Finance & Tax Reporting

  • Collaborate with the finance/accounting team to ensure accurate payroll processing.

  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax reports to the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA), including:

  • Income tax

  • Withholding tax

  • Pension contributions

  • VAT (if applicable)

  • Maintain organized tax records and ensure timely compliance with tax obligations.

  • Support external auditors or government inspectors when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in AccountingBusiness Management, or a related field.

  • Expereince: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in HR, administration, or finance roles.

  • Knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and tax regulations is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
