Job Purpose:-To provide accounting and finance support and prepare financial reports based on internal deadlines by assuring all backup documentation is audit ready and troubleshooting accounting issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tracks expenses and other financial transactions, mainly involving expense entry, tracking, and record keeping.
Reconciles cash accounts for hub offices.
Follows up with washing stations to make sure that weekly expense reports are submitted within the deadline.
Records and maintains appropriate financial transactions and accounts based on the company policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Assists in preparing for audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
Supports in replenishment of petty cash maintenance of washing stations and hub office according to maximum petty cash policy, and ensures that all petty cash procedures are followed.
Ensures the safeguard of bank checks, cash receipts, and petty cash.
Organizes, files and keeps financial source documents.
Records revenues, expenses, accruals, adjustments, etc. accurately and appropriately.
Posts transactions to general ledger accurately and timely.
Records, corrects and adjusts journal entries and prepares trial balance.
- Collects and files financial documents from various washing stations/units, and balance the daily records and prepares proof sheet and supporting documents
Prepares and submits timely, accurate, and complete periodic financial statements for review.
Identifies and codes all financial documents based on chart of accounts of the Company.
Organizes, files and keeps financial source documents.
Qualification and Skills
Education:
- BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related fields
Experiance:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting and financial management.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher amongst others
- Time management skills
