Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and proven expertise in the import and export sector. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports

• Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger 

• Assist in month- end and year-end closing activities 

• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow report

• Prepare and review VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory tax filings 

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policie

• Proficiency in Peach-tree accounting software   

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in accounting

• A good background in the import and export sector is a plus.

• Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and ERP/accounting system

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skill

• Fluent in English 

• Ability to work independently with integrity and accountability
