Job Summary

SAO Ethiopia is seeking a reliable, organized, and trustworthy Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day office operations. The role involves administrative coordination, basic financial record support, and ensuring smooth office functioning.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or with related field of study

Experience:

  • 1 year for Bachelor's Degree and 2 years for Diploma holders

  • Prior administrative experience is an advantage

Quantity Required: 1

Employment Type: Six-month contract (renewable based on performance)

Location: Based in Addis Ababa

Working Condition: Part-time (3 days per week)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Country Director

  • Maintain organized filing systems (physical and electronic)

  • Prepare basic documents, letters, and reports • Support scheduling and coordination of meetings

  • Assist with record-keeping and documentation

Basic Financial Support:

  • Maintain records of expenses and payments

  • Assist in preparing simple payment documentation

  • Keep financial documents organized for review

Office Support:

  • Maintain a professional and organized office environment

  • Assist with logistics for meetings and activities

  • Support communication with partners and stakeholders

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic understanding of financial record-keeping

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work with integrity and maintain confidentiality

  • Proficiency in Amharic (English is an advantage)

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)

  • Responsible and dependable

  • Detail-oriented

  • Professional and respectful

  • Willing to learn and grow
