Washington Healthcare Plc (WHC) is a specialized secondary care facility based in Addis Ababa, committed to delivering high-quality and affordable healthcare services to both local and international communities.

Established in January 2015, WHC has served over 120,000 patients. The center operates 24/7 and is staffed by experienced Ethiopian, American, and visiting physicians across subspecialties such as cardiology, neurology, and oncology.

WHC is currently expanding into a multi-specialty institution with a long-term vision of becoming a tertiary care hospital and medical school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate ambulances and company vehicles safely and responsibly

• Transport patients during emergenciesand routine medical transfers

• Assist medical staff during emergencyresponse operations when required

• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues

• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and vehicle usage documentation

• Respond promptly to emergency dispatch calls and instructions

• Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Secondary school completion

• Valid and appropriate driving license for ambulance/vehicle operation

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional driving experience

• Ambulance or emergency driving experience is preferred

Job Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques

• Basic understanding of emergency response procedures

• Awareness of Basic First Aid and CPR principles

• Vehicle maintenance and inspection basics

• Road safety regulations and compliance

Skills and Abilities:

• Skilled in safe and defensive driving

• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

• Good communicationand coordination skills

• Responsible, disciplined, and safety-conscious attitude
