Laguz Trading and Logistics are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day activities of our logistics operations. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient and smooth transportation and delivery of goods, optimizing processes, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Daily Operations: Support the General Manager and Operation team in overseeing all logistics and freight operations, ensuring that shipments are processed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

  • Team Supervision: collaborate and Supervise operation team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of operational improvements, optimizing routing, customer base development and the use of technology to enhance overall efficiency.

  • Customer Relations: Assist with maintaining strong customer relationships by ensuring that all logistics services meet customer expectations, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing status updates.

  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all shipments comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, maintaining proper records of shipments, routes, and deliveries.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist in generating operational reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing insights on performance metrics to help guide decision-making.

  • Problem Solving: Address any operational challenges, including delays, disruptions, or equipment issues, and work collaboratively to resolve them in a timely manner.

  • Coordination with External Partners: Work with third-party vendors, carriers, and contractors to coordinate transportation services and ensure that all contracts are followed and performance standards met.

  • Training and Development: Assist in the training and development of new team members, ensuring all employees understand operational procedures and best practices.

  • Marketing and business development: Collaborate and coordinate with business development team to implement marketing strategy.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or in a related field of study with relevant work experience

  • Experience: 3-7 year of experience
