The Discipline-Specific Designer/Modeler is responsible for creating detailed design and BIM models for medium to large projects of a specific discipline (e.g., Architectural, Structural, MEP, Electrical, etc.). This role involves working closely with other design team members to ensure that all design elements are accurately represented and integrated within the BIM model.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and Modeling:

• Create detailed design and BIM models for the specific discipline.

• Ensure models are accurate, detailed, and comply with project specifications and standards.

Collaboration with Design Teams:

• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design team members to understand project requirements.

• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and consistency.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Review and validate design and BIM models for accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct clash detection and resolve any conflicts within the models.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

• Maintain organized records of all models and revisions.

• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.

Support to Project Teams:

• Provide technical support to project teams during the design and construction phases.

• Assist in resolving any design or modeling-related issues that arise during the project.

Job Requirement:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering).

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in design and BIM modeling for the specific discipline.

• Technical Skills: proven portfolio of high quality design products and BIM modelling experience

• Certifications: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM tools.
