The Business Development Officer supports Elixone Tech’s growth by identifying ICT-related opportunities, preparing proposal documents, coordinating bid submissions, supporting client engagement, and assisting in marketing initiatives for Elixone’s SaaS and software products.
The role works closely with the Technical Lead, senior developers, and Managing Partner to ensure that opportunity screening, proposal preparation, client communication, and product positioning are coordinated and timely.
This position suits early-career professionals (1–3 years) who want to grow into advanced business development, product marketing, and account-management roles within a technology environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Opportunity Screening and Proposal Development
The role collaborates closely with the Technical Lead, senior developers, and Managing Partner.
Identify ICT-related bids, grants, and partnership opportunities, particularly in ERP, PPM, LMS, KMS, data systems, and custom software development.
Monitor IT procurement portals and share updates with senior staff.
Screen RFPs using standardized bid selection criteria and summarize technical and administrative requirements.
Prepare client profiles to inform bid/no-bid decisions and engagement strategies.
Document reviewed opportunities and track proposal status, deadlines, and communication.
Support technical proposal drafting by gathering inputs from software engineers, drafting narrative sections, and organizing compliance documents.
Compile team CVs, company profiles, system descriptions, product sheets, and required credentials.
Coordinate with internal experts—including software engineers, the Managing Partner, and business units in research and evaluation—to collect technical inputs.
Prepare financial proposal templates and support senior staff in estimating resource needs.
Assemble final bid packages and ensure adherence to client instructions.
Maintain an organized library of previous proposals, demos, and product materials.
2. Market Research, Marketing Support, and Product Intelligence
Research IT sector trends and prepare concise briefs for senior staff.
Analyze competitor offerings in ERP, SaaS, LMS, workflow platforms, and related solutions.
Develop marketing materials for Elixone Tech’s products, including product sheets, capability statements, and presentation decks.
Coordinate digital marketing campaigns through LinkedIn, email, and partner channels to generate leads and increase product visibility.
Assist in product launches, promotional events, and client demonstrations.
Collect market feedback to refine positioning, pricing, and messaging strategies.
Support product positioning by drafting feature summaries, use-case notes, and value propositions.
3. Client and Partner Engagement Support
Maintain CRM records for leads, prospects, and ongoing opportunities.
Coordinate communication with clients, external consultants, and technical partners.
Draft MoUs, consultant agreements, partnership proposals, and demo follow-up notes.
Support demo preparation and take structured notes from client meetings.
Assist with outreach for product demos, collaboration meetings, and onboarding activities.
Engage clients as delegated, ensuring clear and timely follow-up.
4. Internal Coordination and Administrative Support
Align tasks with the Technical Lead and Managing Partner.
Schedule meetings, demos, and technical briefing sessions.
Prioritize multiple assignments and meet fast-moving timelines.
Uphold organizational procedures and values.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements
BA Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
1–3 years of experience in business development, ICT project coordination, sales, consulting, or related roles.
Strong writing and communication skills (mandatory).
Ability to understand software products, system components, and basic ICT terminology.
Experience supporting proposal development or ICT bidding is an advantage.
Ability to research, analyze, and summarize information.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with SaaS, ERP, data systems, or software development concepts is an advantage.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies
Good understanding of ICT bids, digital platforms, and integration concepts.
Ability to prepare clear summaries, briefs, and structured proposal content.
