Assignment

Development for All (DFA), as part of its project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with UNODC, is seeking a qualified trainer/consultant to facilitate a two-day training on Crime Investigation under the New Criminal Procedure Code and Evidence Law for justice sector actors, including police officers and public prosecutors, in Assosa, Benishangul-Gumuz Region.

The training aims to enhance participants' knowledge and practical skills in the application of the new Criminal Procedure Code and Evidence Law, strengthen investigative practices, and promote effective coordination among justice sector institutions in the administration of criminal justice.

Scope of Work

The selected consultant/trainer will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and adapting training materials and session plans.

  • Facilitating a two-day training for 25 participants

  • Delivering practical and interactive sessions, including case studies and group exercises.

  • Providing training handouts and reference materials.

  • Submitting a brief training completion report.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • An LL. B degree in Law or an LL.M in Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Ethiopian Criminal Procedure Code and Evidence Law.

  • Proven practical experience in criminal investigation, prosecution, criminal justice administration, or related areas.

  • Previous experience facilitating trainings for police officers, prosecutors, judges, or other justice sector actors.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills.
