Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers or POS systems to process sales transactions.
• Scan goods and ensure prices and quantities are accurate.
• Collect payments, provide change, issue receipts, and handle refunds or exchanges.
• Redeem coupons, stamps, or loyalty points during transactions.
• Greet customers and assist with inquiries or product information.
• Bag, box, or gift-wrap purchased items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Track daily cash flow and reconcile cash drawers at the start and end of shifts.
• Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management.
