Job Title: Cashier
Education: Diploma or BA in Accounting & Finance
Experience: Minimum of 2 years (for Diploma) or 0/1 year (for BA)
Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience
Place of Work: Head Office, Adama

Job Summary: Carry out all payments, collections, and deposits of cash and cheques of Center for Justice (CJ).
Major Duties and Responsibilities (As per HR Manual)
Effect payments according to the approved vouchers and payment authorizations.
Collect cash and issue cash receipt vouchers.
Deposit all cash collections and cheques (if any) in the bank according to the rules of the organization.
Maintain records and cash balance (cash register).
Ensure that salaries, taxes, and other payments are prepared and paid on time.
Effect payment, setup, and maintain records.
Ensure that all bills submitted are valid and report to the Adm./Finance Section Head on time.
Prepare cash report to replenish petty cash.
Perform duties of a permanent or temporary character.
Make himself/herself available to execute tasks outside his/her normal field of operation during special circumstances.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Software Skills: Experience with Peachtree/QuickBooks or similar accounting software, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in other local languages is preferred.

Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exhibits strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
