Job Description

Lead all site surveying for drill pattern design, bench height calculations, and topography. Responsible for calculating void volumes and ensuring accuracy using advanced GPS systems.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geology, Civil Engineering or with related field of study

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years experiences in open-pit mining survey.

• Experience using 3D Mine or Surpac software for design.

• Must be proficient in using GTS (Total Station) and advanced GPS (RTK) setup in remote mountainous terrain.

Duties and Responsibilities

• High-Precision Control Network Deployment

• Precision Layout: Guide and verify the accurate positioning of key components such as structures, tunnel breakthroughs, and bridge axes. ✓ Equipment Operation: Proficient in total stations, high-precision levels, GNSS receivers, and industrial-grade UAV surveying and 3D laser scanners.

Skills & Competencies

• Must be proficient in using GTS (Total Station) and advanced GPS (RTK) setup in remote mountainous terrain.

• Ability to train local Ethiopian assistants in using digital survey equipment

• Basic English communication skill & Mandarin proficiency is an advantage

• Advanced mathematics.

• Drone surveying (an added advantage)

• Data management.
