This specialist will provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultation services for children, adolescents, and their families, addressing a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Developmental Psychologist / Child Psychiatrist

Working Arrangement: Part-Time

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and/or psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.

  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family-based interventions, or pharmacological management (Psychiatrist only).

  • Provide psychoeducation and consultation to parents/guardians and school systems.

  • Address issues such as developmental delays, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma in youth

  • Collaborate with other specialists, pediatricians, and the multidisciplinary team.

Job Requirement:

Required Qualifications:

  • Psychiatrist: Medical degree (MD/DO) with residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Current and unrestricted license to practice and prescribe in Ethiopia m.

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship/post-residency clinical experience is required.

  • Psychologist: Doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in Developmental or Clinical Psychology. Current and unrestricted license to practice in Ethiopia.

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is required.

  • Demonstrated expertise in a child/youth clinical setting.
