We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis II Chef to join our kitchen team. The role involves assisting in food preparation, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting senior chefs to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and menu guidelines.

  • Follow instructions from the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure consistent food quality and presentation.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and workstations.

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to minimize waste.

  • Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing kitchen deliveries.

  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.

  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
