Job Summary

Construction Electrical & ICT Cost Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical and ICT (Information & Communication Technology) systems in construction projects, ensuring budgets align with technical requirements and project goals. This role combines engineering expertise with financial analysis to support project planning and bidding.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or with related field of study.

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine electrical and ICT requirements.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

  • Develop bills of quantities (BOQ) and pricing schedules.

  • Review blueprints and design documents to identify scope and technical needs.

  • Assess risks, contingencies, and potential cost-saving measures.

  • Provide input on project feasibility and budgeting.

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure estimates align with design intent.

  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to obtain competitive quotations.

  • Support tender preparation and bid submissions.

  • Maintain updated records of cost databases and estimation tools.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients.

  • Track actual project costs against estimates to improve accuracy.
