Job Requirement

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, Economics, or with related field of study

Experience:

• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive professional experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership, country management, business development, commercial, or operational role.
• Strong experience in the Ethiopian business environment and demonstrated ability to execute business strategies locally.
• Proven experience developing and managing strategic partnerships with corporates, banks, leasing companies, MFIs, financial institutions, government institutions, or other major stakeholders.
• Experience in automotive, electric mobility, transportation, renewable energy, technology, financial services, or related sectors is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a startup or fast-growing organization is an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the company's business establishment, market execution, and growth in Ethiopia.
• Develop and implement the company's strategy, commercial plans, and growth initiatives in Ethiopia.
• Take full responsibility for the company's business performance, P&L, budgets, and key performance indicators in Ethiopia.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, banks, leasing companies, MFIs, government institutions, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead local financing and commercial partnerships to support the company's growth and market expansion.
• Identify and pursue major B2B opportunities across the automotive, mobility, logistics, and energy sectors.
• Lead the execution of the company's initial commercial transactions and deployments, coordinating customers, vehicle/supply partners, financing institutions, operating partners, and its HQ.
• Oversee the performance and coordination of the core commercial, operations, and finance functions.
• Build, lead, and develop the company's local team while ensuring compliance with Ethiopian regulations and business requirements.
• Represent the company in strategic business, government, and industry engagements and build strong relationships across the Ethiopian market

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of local financing, leasing, and commercial partnership models.
