Data analysts import, inspect, clean, transform, validate, model, or interpret collections of data with regard to the business goals of the company. They ensure that the data sources and repositories provide consistent and reliable data. Data analysts use different algorithms and IT tools as demanded by the situation and the current data. They might prepare reports in the form of visualisations such as graphs, charts, and dashboards.
Sublime Consultancy Service PLC is a research firm legally registered in Ethiopia to deliver an array of research, communication, capacity building training, and business consulting services to a wide range of governmental and non-government organizations as well as commercial companies. The firm aims at providing high quality and genuine technical consulting services in the area of public health, social development, health communications, and other livelihood programs and projects.
Sublime Consultancy is commissioned by the Enveritas Inc to do field research on the Ethiopian coffee farmers and currently looking for a Data Analysts (#3) to successfully accomplish the following assignments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Using specialist tools to extract the data needed
Responding to data-related queries and keeping track of these
Analyzing data to identify trends
Setting up processes and systems to make working with data more efficient
Researching new ways to make use of data
Producing reports and charts communicating trends within data to non-specialists
Presenting information generated from data to clients and managers
Bachelor’s degree in science or business
1-2 years of experience in managing or conducting quantitative and qualitative research (at university or post University).
Strong foundation in Excel and good data analysis skills
Good typing skills
Quick learner (i.e., need to learn our internal data analysis tools and rapidly produce impactful results)
Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and Amharic.
