Position: Full Time
Organization: Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections (CECOE)
The Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections (CECOE) is a coalition of over 175 Ethiopian CSOs working in the area of elections, human rights and democracy. The Coalition is registered and licensed under the Ethiopian civil society organisation proclamation 1113/2019. Since its establishment, CECOE has observed the 6th general Ethiopian elections, the Sidama and South West Ethiopia Peoples' Region referendums. Furthermore, the Coalition has been engaged in various advocacy and civic education activities.
Currently, CECOE is engaged in the observation of the upcoming SNNPR Referendum, having deployed long-term observers during the voter registration and pre-referendum phase. CECOE has prepared to observe the voting process on Referendum day. To that end, the Coalition will set up a data center to coordinate and analyse the data to be sent from its observers. CEOCE will utilise Data Clerks to assist in the collection of real time referendum observation reports from observers on the ground. Data Clerks will contact observers to follow up on reports sent and they will encode and clean observation data in the system. To this effect, CECOE will provide practical training to the Data Clerks.
