Job Summary
The Data Engineer / IT Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, supporting staff with technology solutions, and ensuring the proper management and security of organizational data. The role also involves promoting digital systems, automation, and AI-based tools to improve operational efficiency and enhance the company’s internal management systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organization’s digital transformation and ensuring that reliable IT systems and structured data management processes are in place.
Job Requirement
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, Computer Engineering, information System
Experience:
6 years of experience from a recognized university. With minimum GPA of 3.5 or above (TVET / Technical Diploma in Computer Hardware & Networking )
5 years of relevant professional experience ( Bachelor’s degree / IT support, computer maintenance, or data engineering)

Duties and Responsibilities
The Data Engineer / IT Officer will perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:
IT Infrastructure Management
Manage, maintain, and monitor all office IT equipment including computers, laptops, printers, mobile phones, networking devices, and related hardware.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, office applications, and other software tools used within the organization.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related technical issues in a timely manner.
Ensure proper installation, configuration, and maintenance of office networks and communication systems.
Technical Support and Training
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for staff on IT-related issues.
Conduct training sessions for employees on office software, digital tools, internal systems, and data management practices.
Introduce and guide staff on the effective use of emerging technologies including AI-based applications and digital productivity tools.
Data Management and Analysis
Collect, organize, and manage company data and operational statistics in a structured and secure manner.
Develop and maintain standardized reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools to support management decision-making.
Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility for authorized users.
System Development and Digitalization
Assist in the development, testing, and continuous improvement of internal digital systems and management tools.
Support the company’s digital transformation initiatives by introducing efficient technology solutions.
Promote automation and modern data management practices across departments.
Data Security and Compliance
Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of company data and digital records.
Establish reliable data backup procedures and recovery systems.
Develop and implement standardized company data management procedures and documentation practices.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and system administration.
Experience in database management, data analysis, and reporting systems.
Familiarity with digital platforms, automation tools, and AI-based applications.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and support staff.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
High level of professional integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility in handling organizational data.
