Raras Technologies PLC is seeking a highly competent DCF Presales Engineer to support RFP responses, bid management, solution design, and technical–commercial documentation for data center facility opportunities.

The DCF Presales Engineer is responsible for supporting RFP responses, bid management, solution design, and technical-commercial documentation related to data center facility opportunities. The role focuses on presales activities, ensuring that bids are technically sound, compliant, competitive, and aligned with customer requirements and organizational standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

RFP & Bid Management Support

• Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents related to data center facilities and critical infrastructure.

• Support the preparation of technical responses, compliance matrices, and bid documentation in line with RFP evaluation criteria.

• Identify technical risks, assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies during bid analysis.

• Assist in bid go/no-go inputs using sales frameworks

• Ensure adherence to internal bid management procedures 

Presales Solution Design

• Develop conceptual and presales-level designs for data center facility solutions, including:

  • Power distribution, UPS, and battery systems

  • Cooling and environmental control

  • Structured cabling systems

  • Racks, containment, and monitoring systems

• Prepare presales HLDs and solution diagrams strictly for bidding purposes.

• Define technical scope, assumptions, and exclusions clearly to avoid downstream delivery risks.

BoM and Costing Preparation

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BoM) for presales bids, including equipment, quantities, price and technical specifications.

• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs to obtain technical datasheets, compliance documents, and budgetary pricing.

• Support technical evaluation of vendor quotations and solution alternatives.

• Ensure consistency between BoM, technical proposals, and financial inputs.

Vendor & OEM Coordination

• Liaise with vendors and OEMs for Technical clarifications, Compliance confirmations, Presales workshops and solution validations

• Support vendor deal registration and technical alignment in coordination with the Presales Team Lead and Sales team.

• Maintain technical vendor knowledge to support competitive bidding.

Proposal & Documentation Development

• Contribute to the preparation of Technical proposals, Compliance matrices, Technical clarifications and addenda

• Ensure proposals are clear, accurate, complete, and professionally presented.

• Maintain version control and documentation traceability

Internal Collaboration & Reviews

• Collaborate closely with DCF Presales Team Lead, Sales Team Lead, Solution Architects and other presales teams

• Participate in internal bid reviews, validations, and management approvals.

• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of presales processes and templates.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of data center facility infrastructure (power, cooling, cabling).

• Proven ability to work on RFPs, tenders, and bid documentation.

• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear presales narratives.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation tools.

• Familiarity with presales collaboration platforms.

• Vendor certifications (Huawei, Vertiv, Cannovate, Schneider, Hikvision, Siemon or related vendors.

• Experience in government and enterprise bidding environments.

• Exposure to structured bid management and presales governance frameworks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ICT, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in presales engineering, solution design, or bid support for data center or critical infrastructure solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vendor certifications (Huawei, Vertiv, Cannovate, Schneider, Hikvision, Siemon or related vendors.

• Experience in government and enterprise bidding environments.

• Exposure to structured bid management and presales governance frameworks.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ICT, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in presales engineering, solution design, or bid support for data center or critical infrastructure solutions.
