Novel Industrial Groups (NIG) is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Deputy General Manager to strengthen its management team and support business growth and operational excellence.

NIG is an Ethiopian manufacturing company producing personal care products, baby diapers, and medical supplies, with a focus on strengthening its operations, market presence, and management systems.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s  Degree  in  Engineering,  Operations,  Business  Management,  Industrial Management, Economics, or related field.

• Master’s/MBA is an advantage.

Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in managerial leadership.

• Strong experience managing or coordinating multiple business functions.

• Manufacturing/FMCG/personal care/hygiene/consumer products experience is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of operational performance, financial discipline, sales, people, and organizational effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overall business strategy, operational management, and execution.

• Coordinate    Production,    Finance,    Sales    &    Marketing, Procurement, Stores, Maintenance, Quality, and HR to achieve business objectives.

• Translate business objectives into clear plans, targets, responsibilities, and measurable results.

• Drive    organizational    effectiveness,    accountability,    reporting   lines,  KPIs, and management performance.

• Monitor production efficiency, capacity, wastage, downtime, costs, quality, and productivity.

• Strengthen coordination between sales, production, inventory, supply chain, and finance.

• Lead management performance reviews, action tracking, problem-solving, and follow-up.

• Identify   operational,    organizational,    and   leadership    gaps    and                lead                practical improvement initiatives.

•   Promote    Kaizen,    5S,    waste    reduction,    process    discipline,                  and         continuous improvement.

• Support management decisions and ensure agreed actions are implemented on time.

• Monitor key business KPIs, risks, costs, profitability, and operational performance.
