Job Summary

ATTA Trading Plc is seeking to hire a highly experienced, qualified, and result-oriented professional for the position of Deputy Project Manager – MEP Section for the Olympia Project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities of the project, with particular focus on electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for high-rise building construction projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, project management skills, and the capability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution within approved timelines, quality standards, and budgets.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or with related field of study

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of general experience in the Building Construction Industry out of which 6 years of specific experience in electrical installation works for high-rise buildings, including Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, 2 years of electrical design experience, including ELV design works and 2 years of experience as an MEP Manager, MEP Coordinator, or similar leadership role in building construction projects

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management and Coordination

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all MEP activities at the project site

  • Ensure smooth coordination among Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, ICT, and finishing teams

  • Monitor project schedules, work progress, and implementation status to ensure timely completion of works

  • Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and execution strategies

  • Ensure all MEP works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements

Technical and Engineering Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical installation works, including power distribution and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems

  • Review and approve electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings

  • Prepare and review detailed work methodologies and technical procedures for MEP works

  • Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions during project execution

  • Identify technical challenges and ensure timely corrective actions

Quantity, Cost, and Material Management

  • Prepare and review quantity take-offs and measurements for executed MEP works

  • Prepare and review material take-offs and detailed material lists for procurement and store requisition purposes

  • Coordinate with procurement and store departments regarding material planning and delivery

  • Monitor material utilization and minimize wastage during project execution

Team Leadership and Reporting

  • Lead, supervise, assign tasks, and evaluate the performance of Project Engineers and MEP teams

  • Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports, and project performance updates

  • Coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders

  • Ensure proper communication and reporting to project management and company leadership

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

  • Ensure all MEP works comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company procedures

  • Monitor quality control processes and ensure high-quality workmanship at all stages of the project

  • Support implementation of workplace safety and risk management practices

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong AutoCAD skills for preparing and reviewing designs, shop drawings, and as-built drawings

  • Excellent project management, planning, monitoring, and reporting capabilities

  • High proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project

  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, installation methodologies, and project execution processes

  • Ability to prepare and review quantities, BOQs, and material schedules for MEP works

  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and team management skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project activities effectively

  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and professional ethics
