Job Summary

New Leaf Medical Complex is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-centered Dialysis Nurse to join our clinical team. The role is responsible for providing safe and high-quality dialysis care to patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions. The Dialysis Nurse will support patient assessment, dialysis treatment administration, patient monitoring, and adherence to infection prevention and patient safety standards while ensuring excellent patient care and clinical outcomes.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Dialysis Patient Care & Treatment

• Prepare and assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment

• Administer hemodialysis treatment according to physician orders and clinical protocols

• Monitor patient vital signs, dialysis parameters, and patient responses during treatment

• Identify and respond promptly to dialysis-related complications and emergencies

• Provide compassionate and patient-centered nursing care throughout the dialysis process

2. Clinical Procedures & Equipment Management

• Prepare and operate dialysis machines and related equipment safely and effectively

• Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance checks of dialysis equipment

• Monitor dialysis access sites and support vascular access care

• Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical supplies and consumables

3. Infection Prevention & Patient Safety

• Maintain strict infection prevention and control (IPC) standards in dialysis units

• Ensure compliance with patient safety protocols and clinical guidelines

• Implement proper sterilization and disinfection practices for dialysis equipment and treatment areas

• Report incidents, safety concerns, or complications promptly

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and timely patient treatment records and nursing documentation

• Document dialysis procedures, patient observations, medications, and interventions

• Prepare shift reports and communicate patient status effectively with healthcare teams

5. Patient Education & Support

• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures, treatment plans, nutrition, and fluid management

• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients undergoing long-term dialysis treatment

• Encourage patient adherence to treatment and follow-up care plans

6. Teamwork & Professional Development

• Collaborate effectively with nephrologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Participate in continuous professional development and dialysis-related training programs

• Support quality improvement and patient care initiatives within the dialysis unit.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• BSc Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution

• Valid professional nursing license

• 1–2 years of relevant dialysis nursing experience

• Experience in hemodialysis patient care and dialysis machine operation

• Basic knowledge of renal care, dialysis procedures, and patient monitoring

• Understanding of infection prevention and patient safety standards

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments

• Professionalism, empathy, integrity, and patient-centered care commitment
