Job Summary

The Building and Infrastructure Directorate Director will lead and direct all building construction and civil infrastructure projects across ELHADAR’s portfolio. This senior leadership role demands a technically strong director who thrives in a transforming, fast-paced environment and can integrate modern digital project management tools with on-the-ground delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities 

• Direct all building and civil infrastructure projects from inception to handover
• Establish and enforce project delivery standards, technical specifications, and compliance frameworks
• Lead the integration of digital project monitoring, BIM, and reporting systems
• Manage directorate budget, resources, procurement strategy, and subcontractor performance
• Coordinate with engineering, design, and planning teams to ensure design-build alignment
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in construction methodologies
• Prepare and present progress reports to executive leadership and clients
• Ensure all projects meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards

Job Requirement

• Education: MSc or BSc in Civil Engineering (Architectural Engineering is an added advantage)
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in construction project management at director level

Skills Required 

• Demonstrated experience with BIM, digital delivery tools, and modern project systems
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction contracts (PPA,FIDIC or equivalent)
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large project portfolios
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ethiopian national or qualified expatriate

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
