Duties and Responsibilities:

Electrical System Oversight & Troubleshooting

• Lead inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and control panels.

• Diagnose complex electrical faults and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of production lines through proactive electrical support.

Preventive Maintenance Strategy

• Design and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical assets.

• Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, fault history, and performance metrics.

Safety, Compliance & Audit Readiness

• Enforce strict adherence to electrical safety standards, factory policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments related to electrical systems.

• Train team members on safe work practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and emergency response.

Team Leadership & Skill Development

• Supervise electricians and technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

• Organize training sessions to enhance team capabilities in diagnostics, controls, and automation.

Procurement Coordination & Inventory Management

• Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and source quality electrical components.

• Recommend specifications for new equipment and spare parts.

• Maintain organized inventory of tools, consumables, and critical spares to avoid downtime.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on electrical maintenance KPIs.

• Analyze fault trends and propose engineering improvements.

• Support cross-functional initiatives to improve energy efficiency and equipment reliability.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical &/or Electronics Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience in a steel pipe industry, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.

• Expertise: Industrial power systems, PLC automation, VFDs, steel pipe production equipment, and electrical safety standards.
