Duties and Responsibilities

1. Instructional Delivery

  • ​Lower Primary (Grades 1-4): Focus on phonics, vocabulary building, basic grammar, and fostering a love for reading through interactive storytelling and creative play.

  • ​Upper Primary (Grades 5-8): Transition students toward complex sentence structures, various genres of literature, persuasive writing, and public speaking.

  • ​Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels.

​2. Curriculum & Assessment

  • ​Develop a cohesive English curriculum that aligns with school standards and ensures a smooth academic transition between grade levels.

  • ​Create and grade assessments, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their linguistic accuracy and expression.

  • ​Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavioral development.

​3. Classroom Environment

  • ​Establish a positive, inclusive, and "English-rich" classroom culture that encourages students to take risks in their communication.

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using proactive and supportive strategies.

​4. Professional Collaboration

  • ​Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
    ​Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement and challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
    Certification Valid Teaching License/Certification (TESOL/TEFL is a plus).

  • Experience: 0-3 years

  • Communication Native or near-native fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Adaptability Ability to switch teaching methodologies to suit 6-year-olds and 14-year-olds.

  • Technology Proficiency in using educational technology and digital classroom tools.
