Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C. previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC is a privately owned company located in Addis Ababa in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone area. Kadisco is a company that traces its origins back from a small automotive parts dealership that was operating in one of the busy streets of Addis Ababa back in late 60’s. During the period until 1975 it had the opportunity to act as the sole distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979 it was registered as the sole company to manufacture adhesives and glue. By stages, the company developed into a diversified paint manufacturer.

In February 2015, Asian Paints Ltd and Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC formed a joint venture for business in Ethiopia and came to be known as Kadisco Asian paints. Asian Paints is India’s leading paint company and Asia’s second largest, with a group turnover of USD 2.7 billion. The group has an enviable reputation in the corporate world for professionalism, fast track growth, and building shareholder equity. Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 65 countries. 

Today the company produces a full range of paints for the construction, industrial and automotive sectors. It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.

The HR executive is responsible for assisting HR executive in handling recruitment, onboarding , managing payroll & OT, handling employee relations, benefits,engagment activities complying labor law and daily HR activities.                   

Reporting to: Manager – HR & Administration

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle post job openings on relevant platforms (Recruitment agency website, job boards and social media) to attract suitable candidates.

  • Handle review submitted CVs against the job description to shortlist candidates for preliminary interviews.

  • Handle coordinate schedules between candidates and interviewers.

  • Handle drafting and sending offer letters to selected candidates, including salary, benefits, and other terms of employment.

  • Handle the necessary HRIT system updates for new hires, ensuring all position details are entered.

  • Handle to compile and prepare employee files with all necessary documents for onboarding.

  • Handle to conduct orientation sessions for new employees to familiarize them with company culture, policies, and procedures.

  • Handle to coordinate the performance review of new hires during their probation period and provide feedback.

  • Handle to manage the payroll-related aspects of onboarding and offboarding employees.

  • Process salary increments based on performance reviews and company policy.

  • Handle necessary salary deductions for absences.

  • Process and verify invoices related to employee travel and accommodation monthly.

  • Prepare and submite diffrent weekly and monthly reports. 

  • Handle employee relations, including discussions with employees and labor unions on HR-related issues.

  • Support and work closely with immediate supervisor for the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and activities.

  • Manage benfties and compnstion activities 

  • Manager day-to-day HR operations and documentation.

  • Ensure HR programs and activities properly implemented.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Law

  • Minimum 1 – 3 year experience in HR field 

  • Strong communication skills in English is mandatory.

  • Knowledge of labor law. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Willingness to work in HR field.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
