We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented and experiences Social Media Manager & Copywriter to join our team onsite in Addis Ababa. If you have a flair for words, a deep understanding of digital content, and the ability to manage multiple platforms, we’d love to hear from you!

Role Overview:

As our Social Media Manager & Copywriter, you will be at the heart of our communications for a high-impact event. You’ll be responsible for content planning, publishing, and performance tracking across digital channels, ensuring our voice is clear, consistent, and compelling.

Location: Addis Ababa: Onsite Work Required

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Contract Duration: 2 months (with potential for extension)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Scheduling & Posting:

  • Develop and implement a daily content calendar across multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter).

Social Media Management & Engagement:

  • Monitor audience interactions, respond to comments/messages professionally, and foster online community engagement.

Analytics & Performance Reporting:

  • Track and report key metrics using tools like Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, and LinkedIn Analytics to inform strategy.

Copywriting for Digital Platforms:

  • Write engaging captions, posts, and campaign content tailored for each platform and audience.

Email Marketing Support:

  • Create compelling copy and visuals for email campaigns (you won’t be responsible for sending—just crafting).

Blog Post Management:

  • Write and post blog articles for our event website, capturing key themes and event highlights.

Job Requirements:

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 2 - 3 years of Proven experience in social media management and content creation

  • Strong writing skills with attention to tone, voice, and clarity

  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g. Buffer, Meta Suite)

  • Excellent understanding of analytics and reporting

  • Experience in blog writing and content strategy

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-focused environment
