To act as a finance business partner to factory operations, warehousing, procurement, and distribution functions by providing end-to-end financial leadership, cost transparency, and performance insights across the supply chain. The role supports strategic and operational decision-making through robust financial analysis, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary finance partner for manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, and distribution teams.

  • Translate operational activities into financial outcomes and provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Challenge and influence business decisions to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

  • Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, overheads, and variances.

  • Monitor production efficiency, yield, waste, and conversion costs.

  • Support standard costing, BOM accuracy, and periodic cost roll-ups.

  • Partner with operations on capacity planning, make/buy decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with procurement to track and analyze material costs, purchase price variances (PPV), and supplier performance.

  • Support sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and savings initiatives with financial analysis.

  • Monitor inventory valuation, obsolescence, slow-moving stock, and working capital optimization.

  • Periodic inventory valuation assessment 

  • Oversee financial performance of warehousing and logistics operations, including storage, handling, transportation, and distribution costs.

  • Analyze cost-to-serve, route profitability, and distribution network efficiency.

  • Support optimization of inventory levels, service levels, and logistics spend.

  • Lead supply chain budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with operational plans.

  • Track performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and corrective action recommendations.

  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and management reports for supply chain performance.

  • Ensure strong financial controls across supply chain transactions, including inventory, accruals, and cost allocation.

  • Work closely with AP, inventory accounting, and operations teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across supply chain finance activities.

  • Support business cases for capital expenditure, network changes, automation, and transformation initiatives.

  • Contribute to broader finance and supply chain transformation projects.

  • Act as a mentor to junior supply chain finance analysts where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Experience

  • 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing finance.

  • Strong exposure to factory operations, procurement, finance, and logistics/distribution cost management.

  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, industrial, or large-scale supply chain environments preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong cost accounting and supply chain finance expertise.

  • Advanced financial analysis, modeling, and variance analysis skills.

  • Excellent business partnering, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Solid understanding of ERP systems (SAP/S4) and advanced Excel / BI tools.

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on operational levels.
