Role Overview
Kepler Ethiopia seeks a Finance and Administration Fellow to support finance and administrative operations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Fellow ensures compliance with organizational and donor financial guidelines while facilitating smooth office operations. This role suits candidates with finance or administrative experience in NGOs, education institutions, or multi-country organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process CPV/PCPV payments, checks, and bank transfers after verification and approval.

  • Generate withholding tax (WHT) vouchers, submit monthly income tax, pension, and WHT declarations, and secure ERCA receipts.

  • Manage petty cash, monitor transactions, prepare replenishment summaries, and ensure proper documentation.

  • Organize, scan, and maintain financial documents and fixed asset registers for donor reporting and recordkeeping.

  • Record daily purchases, prepare GRNs, and ensure accurate financial tracking.

  • Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

  • Stamp financial documents as "Paid" and maintain accountability.

  •  Collaborate with operations and administrative teams to support smooth office functions, including monitoring supplies.

  •  Perform additional finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience in finance and administrative operations, preferably in NGOs or education institutions.

  • Knowledge of Ethiopian tax, labor, and donor compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication, time management, and teamwork abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and document management.
