The Finance Department Head is responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategic financial direction of the organization. The role includes advising management on investment plans, ensuring full compliance with financial regulations, monitoring financial performance, and supporting executive decision-making through accurate analysis and forecasting.

The successful candidate works closely with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies, optimize resource allocation, and ensure strong governance and operational excellence within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform core financial management duties, including generating financial data, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial trends, and assessing the company’s overall financial health.

• Oversee all operations within the finance department, including policy development, budgeting, recruiting, training, and continuous assessment of financial procedures.

• Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations and ensure compliance with tax laws and financial reporting standards.

• Manage and monitor cash flow forecasts and ensure accurate documentation of the company’s financial status and projections.

• Serve as a liaison between the organization, employees, stakeholders, and shareholders on finance-related matters.

• Develop strategic financial and business plans based on thorough analyses and forecasts.

• Provide operational financial guidance to various teams, including Corporate Financial Planning, Accounting, Sales & Finance, and Business Unit Operations.

Job Requirement

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.

• Work Experience: ·7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance management in the private or public sector.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.

• Thorough understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Demonstrated leadership ability with proven supervisory experience.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
