Pharo Foundation is launching a new, high-quality school in Assosa and is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage the school’s financial operations and ensure accountability, transparency, and efficiency in all financial transactions.
📍 Position Details
Location: Assosa, Ethiopia
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable, petty cash, and bank reconciliations
Ensure compliance with Pharo Foundation’s financial policies and Ethiopian financial regulations
Support audits and ensure accurate documentation of all financial records
Work closely with the school leadership to support financial planning and decision-making
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting (education sector experience preferred)
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree) and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills in English
