Job Purpose

The Finishing Works Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and controlling all building finishing activities to ensure that works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, safety requirements, and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all finishing works, including plastering, screeding, tiling, painting, gypsum ceilings, joinery, doors and windows, aluminum works, glazing, flooring, waterproofing, sanitary fixtures, and other architectural finishes.

• Develop and monitor detailed finishing work schedules and ensure timely completion of project milestones.

• Coordinate with civil, structural, MEP, procurement, subcontractor, and consultant teams.

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical specifications.

• Ensure all finishing works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.

• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.

• Monitor subcontractors' performance, manpower, materials, productivity, and workmanship.

• Identify and resolve site coordination issues, technical problems, and construction delays.

• Control material usage, minimize wastage, and monitor project costs against the approved budget.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of finishing materials in coordination with the procurement department.

• Implement quality control procedures and ensure timely correction of defects and non-conforming works.

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout finishing activities.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.

• Manage snagging, de-snagging, testing, inspections, and final handover of completed areas.

• Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and handover documentation.

• Lead site engineers, finishing engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

Educational Qualifications

• MSc./BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, or other related fields.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant construction experience, including substantial experience managing building finishing works.

• At least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior project leadership role is preferred.

Core Professional Skills

• Proficiency in Auto cad ,MS Excel and MS word.

• Strong knowledge of architectural finishing materials, construction methods, quality control, and site coordination.

• Experience in project planning, cost control, subcontractor management, and project handover.

Behavioral & Functional Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Multi-Tasking – Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
