Job Summery

FELM Ethiopia is seeking a qualified, motivated, and experienced professional for the position of Finnpartnership Project Officer & Regional Peace and Reconciliation Advisor. The role combines responsibilities in coordinating Finnpartnership-related projects and partnerships (50%) with providing technical and advisory support on regional peacebuilding and reconciliation initiatives (50%).

Job Requirement

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Sociology, Business Administration, or related fields of study.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management, peacebuilding, reconciliation, development cooperation, partnership coordination, or related areas.

Language Requirement: Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.

Salary: Gross 850 Euro

Duties & Responsibilities

Finnpartnership Project Officer (50%)

  • Coordinate and support Finnpartnership-related projects and activities.

  • Strengthen collaboration with private sector actors, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Monitor project implementation, reporting, budgeting, and documentation.

  • Facilitate communication between local and international partners.

  • Support proposal development, project planning, and partnership management.

Regional Peace and Reconciliation Advisor (50%)

  • Provide technical support on peacebuilding and reconciliation initiatives across the region.

  • Advise partners on conflict-sensitive programming and community engagement.

  • Conduct assessments, trainings, and capacity-building activities.

  • Support advocacy and dialogue initiatives promoting peace and social cohesion.

  • Prepare analytical reports, recommendations, and program updates.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills

  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management ability

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a multicultural environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Knowledge of peacebuilding, reconciliation, and development programs is an advantage
