JOB PURPOSE

To design functional, attractive, and production-ready furniture products based on customer requirements, market trends, and company standards, while ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop creative and functional furniture designs for residential, commercial, hotel, office, and other projects.
• Prepare detailed furniture drawings, dimensions, specifications, and material requirements.
• Develop 2D and 3D furniture models and technical drawings using relevant design software.
• Translate customer requirements and concepts into practical furniture designs.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and construction methods.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, sales, and installation teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Modify designs based on customer feedback, technical requirements, and production constraints.
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, durability, and aesthetic standards.
• Conduct site measurements when required and develop designs according to available space.
• Prepare prototypes, samples, or design presentations when necessary.
• Review production drawings and provide technical clarification to production teams.
• Monitor design implementation and resolve design-related production issues.
• Keep updated with furniture design trends, materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, designs, specifications, and revisions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in furniture design and manufacturing is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of furniture materials, construction methods, and finishing techniques.
• Knowledge of furniture production processes.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, MaxCut, SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
