The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the school’s outdoor areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves landscaping, plant care, and the upkeep of lawns, trees, and flowerbeds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plant, prune, water, and fertilize trees, shrubs, and flowers.

• Maintain lawns, sports fields, and playgrounds.

• Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery.

• Monitor and control pests and plant diseases.

• Assist with seasonal decorations and school event setups involving outdoor spaces.

• Ensure pathways and outdoor areas are free from hazards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in horticulture preferred.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.

• Knowledge of plants, soils, and irrigation systems.

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to operate lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and irrigation equipment.

• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.

• Teamwork and time management skills.

Work Conditions:

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

• Occasional evening or weekend duties for school events.
