Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or with related field of study

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience for Master's Degree or minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience for Bachelor's Degree holders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the General Accounts Division and ensure effective financial operations.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable Ethiopian requirements.

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, cash management, and financial closing.

• Ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate recording of all financial transactions.

• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, including VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other applicable taxes.

• Establish and monitor effective internal controls, fund segregation, authorization, and reconciliation procedures.

• Prepare budgets, cash-flow reports, management reports, and financial analysis.

• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

• Monitor ERP accounting processes and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Supervise, develop, and evaluate accounting staff.

Skills & Competencies

• Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS

• Advanced Excel Proficiency: Extensive practical skills in financial modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reporting.

• ERP & Accounting Treatment Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems and solid understanding of proper accounting treatments.

• Internal Controls & Reconciliation: Proven ability to manage daily reconciliations, payout controls, and fund segregation.

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax legislation
