Job Summary

The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Group, translate corporate strategy into measurable business results, oversee diversified operations, develop new business opportunities, strengthen technology-enabled operations, and build a high-performance organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and annual business plans, budgets, and KPIs.

• Lead overall operations and coordinate business units and departments.

• Identify new markets, business opportunities, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

• Drive business diversification, growth, and operational efficiency.

• Lead technology integration, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making.

• Develop and oversee digital marketing and customer-acquisition strategies.

• Build strategic local and international partnerships and new revenue streams.

• Monitor revenue, profitability, costs, cash flow, budgets, and overall financial performance.

• Lead senior managers and department heads through clear objectives and performance KPIs.

• Strengthen succession planning, leadership development, and organizational performance.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Ethiopian laws, company policies, and internal controls.

• Identify and manage operational, financial, legal, technology, and reputational risks.

• Report strategic, operational, and financial performance to the CEO and Board.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Management, Business Administration/MBA, Strategic Management, or a related field.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Combination of technology and business education is an advantage.
  

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in General Management or senior executive management.

• Significant experience as General Manager, Managing Director, Deputy General Manager, Business Director, or equivalent.

• Experience managing a diversified business group, holding structure, or multiple business units.

• Strong experience in technology, digital business, or technology-enabled organizations.

• Experience in digital marketing and international business development.

• Proven experience in business strategy, growth planning, and multidisciplinary team leadership.

• Experience managing budgets, PCL, business performance, and organizational transformation.
