The Graphic Design Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering dynamic and engaging graphic design courses. This role involves creating curriculum content, guiding students through hands-on design projects, and fostering a creative learning environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for design, a strong portfolio, and the ability to inspire and mentor aspiring graphic designers

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Teaching students about the history of graphic design, as well as practical applications of design principles

• Preparing students for careers in graphic design by teaching them design principles, techniques, and other relevant information

• Evaluating student work and providing feedback to students based on their progress in the course

• Creating lesson plans that integrate design principles with computer technology skills

• Conduct dynamic and interactive graphic design classes, covering fundamental design principles, software proficiency, and creative problem-solving.

• Create and oversee practical design projects that allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.

• Encourage creativity and experimentation while guiding students through the design process

• Instruct students on industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

• Provide guidance on efficient workflow and best practices in design software usage.

• Assist students in building and refining their design portfolios, offering insights into industry expectations and trends.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or in a related field of study

• Experience: 2 -5 years of working experience as a graphic design instructor/teacher

• Proven professional experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.

• Teaching or training experience in graphic design.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

• Knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and the ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in industry-standard graphic design software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

• Familiarity with other relevant design tools and technologies.

• Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities, with the ability to teach and inspire students to think critically and creatively in their design process.

• Demonstrated ability to guide students through the design thinking and problem-solving process.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and principles.
