Background

AQ Roses is a company that produces different kinds of flowers starting from 2006 based in Ziway, Oromia. The company had started its farming on 18 hectares based in the shores of Lake Denbel. Having maintained its qualities and quantities, currently AQ Roses flower farm has expanded its farming to 38 hectares instead of 18 hectares. Recently we have expanded our farm to Bishoftu as well.

Scope of the position

Under the direct supervision of the greenhouse manager, the greenhouse supervisor is responsible for leading the team that has engaged on rose harvesting and general crop maintenance tasks.

Roles and responsibilities

• Supervision of all the agricultural practices in your area, like harvesting, suckering, bending, crop maintenance, cut stage, cut point etc.

• Allocate duties, provide suitable instructions to and ensure working efficiencies to assigned staff.

• Ensure all production is in conformity with quality and production specifications as required.

• Provide managerial, administrative and production support and guidance to the workers

• Always keep your are a clean and tidy

• Prepare trusted employee data and give daily to timekeepers

• Prepare any reports as required by your respective manager

• Maintain good agricultural practice at all times.

• Provide trainings to the worker.

• Any other duties as may be lawfully assigned to you by the Management   from time to time

• Diploma or above in Horticulture/plant science and related field. 

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Knowing the local language has an advantage
