Job Purpose

To oversee the financial health, transparency, and reporting of ETICPA, ensuring all funds from students, members, development partners, and governments are utilized efficiently and in compliance with global standards.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance or with related field of study
• Mastery of International Public Sector Accounting Standards
• Certificate in Peachtree Accounting Software

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years experience for BA and 8 years for MA degree, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in a managerial level
• Experience in non-profit organization and in professional associations is advantageous
• Experience using Peachtree Accounting Software

Quantity Required: 1

Contract Type: Full-time for one year with possibility of extension based on the performance

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Salary: World Bank Funded Projects' Pay scale

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy: Establish financial management systems that promote adherence to International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
• Budgetary Oversight: Lead the preparation of annual budgets and monitor expenditure, ensuring resources are justified within the core budget.
• Grant & Fund Management: Manage development funds with fairness and consistency, ensuring strict adherence
• Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditor to ensure transparency and oversight of financial management of the institute.
