Debre Holland PLC is a fast-growing and fully integrated poultry business in Ethiopia, engaged in hatching, pullet and layer production, and animal feed manufacturing. As we expand, we are seeking a highly capable and dedicated Head of Finance to lead our financial operations, ensuring strong local compliance while meeting international reporting standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor the finance and accounting team across all business units.

• Prepare and submit accurate weekly financial reports to Dutch shareholders.

• Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and oversee all ERCA-related matters.

• Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems.

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls, financial procedures, and reporting systems.

• Analyze operational costs across hatchery, poultry, and feed production units.

• Coordinate external audits and liaise with financial institutions, auditors, and regulators.

• Provide financial insights and strategic advice to executive leadership for decision-making.

• Train and develop the finance team to enhance efficiency and performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA/Master’s preferred).

• CPA, ACCA, or other professional certification is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Experience in agribusiness, poultry, or manufacturing sectors is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and proven experience with ERCA compliance.

• Excellent written and spoken English is required.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis).

• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated integrity, accuracy, and professionalism.
