A Homecare Nurse is a registered nurse who provides direct, personalized nursing care to patients in their homes rather than in hospitals or clinics. Their patients may include elderly individuals, disabled persons, terminally ill patients, or those recovering from injury or managing chronic illnesses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting initial health evaluations and creating individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians

• Administering medications and managing pain, ensuring patients adhere to prescribed regimens

• Providing wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds, and monitoring for signs of infection or complications

• Monitoring vital signs and overall patient health, updating care plans as needed based on patient condition changes.

• Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and hygiene support.

• Educating patients and their families or caregivers on proper home care techniques, disease management, and safety improvements.
