We are seeking qualified and experienced Two (2) Horticulturist and Greenery to lead and manage construction supervision activities on-site.

Position Title: Two (1) Horticulturist and Greenery
Location:  Kasanchis and Kebena Site Project (Addis Ababa)

Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Min 2 (Two) Years’ Experience Horticulturist and Greenery works

Salary: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement landscape, horticulture, and greenery plans for project sites, including planting layouts, lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground covers.

• Select appropriate plant species based on site conditions, climate, soil characteristics, aesthetics, and maintenance requirements.

• Prepare and review landscape and planting drawings, specifications, schedules, and BOQs.

• Supervise the planting, transplantation, pruning, trimming, lawn establishment, and maintenance of trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.

• Conduct soil assessment and recommend suitable soil improvement, fertilizers, and plant nutrition measures.

• Monitor plant health and implement appropriate measures for pest, disease, and weed control.

• Supervise contractors and landscaping teams to ensure that works are executed in accordance with the approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

• Monitor the progress and quality of greenery works and prepare site inspection reports and progress reports.

• Ensure proper landscape establishment and maintenance during the maintenance and defects liability periods.

• Provide technical advice on landscape improvement, rehabilitation, and long-term maintenance of green spaces.

Place of Assignment: Kasanchis and Kebena Site Project (Addis Ababa)

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Plant Science, Agronomy, Forestry, or a related field from a recognized university.

• Professional training or certification in landscape design, horticulture, irrigation, or environmental management is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of plant selection, landscape development, nursery management, irrigation systems, and greenery maintenance is required.

• Proficiency in relevant landscape design and documentation software is an advantage.
