We export premium roasted coffee to international markets and supply top-tier hotels and leading supermarkets across Ethiopia.

The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department in daily administrative and operational tasks. The role assists with recruitment, employee records management, payroll coordination, induction, and general HR activities to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Assist in posting job vacancies and collecting applications

  • Support interview scheduling and candidate communication

  • Prepare employment letters, contracts, and onboarding documents

  • Assist with employee induction and orientation programs

HR Administration

  • Maintain and update employee personnel files (physical and digital)

  • Track employee attendance, leave, and probation periods

  • Support contract renewals and employee documentation

  • Ensure HR records are accurate and confidential

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Assist in collecting payroll-related data (attendance, leave, deductions)

  • Coordinate with Finance on payroll processing

  • Support pension, insurance, and other employee benefit documentation

Employee Relations

  • Respond to basic HR-related inquiries from employees

  • Assist in handling employee grievances and disciplinary documentation

  • Support performance appraisal and training activities

Compliance & Reporting

  • Assist in ensuring HR policies comply with labor laws and company regulations

  • Prepare basic HR reports as required

  • Support audits and inspections when needed

General Support

  • Perform other HR-related duties assigned by the HR Manager

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • 0–1 year of relevant HR or administrative experience 

  • Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR procedures

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
