Key Roles and Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Administration

  • Administer employee appointments, transfers, promotions, contract amendments, and terminations.

  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR documentation.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files.

  • Ensure all employee records are securely maintained and easily retrievable.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruitment administration activities, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.

  • Prepare employment offers and onboarding documentation.

  • Facilitate employee onboarding and induction processes.

  • Ensure all pre-employment documentation is completed and filed.

  • Capture and maintain employee information on HR systems.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within HR databases.

HR Information Systems and Data Management

  • Process employee data changes and updates.

  • Generate routine HR reports and workforce statistics.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Prepare and submit payroll input information accurately and on time.

  • Administer employee benefits enrolments and changes.

  • Assist employees with payroll and benefits enquiries.

  • Reconcile employee information required for payroll processing.

Employee Relations Administration

  • Provide administrative support for disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, and investigation processes.

  • Prepare meeting invitations, documentation, and correspondence.

  • Maintain employee relations records and case files.

  • Support HR compliance with disciplinary procedures and record keeping requirements.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Compile monthly HR reports and workforce metrics.

  • Monitor employee documentation and statutory compliance requirements.

  • Assist with internal and external HR audits.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labour legislation.

Employee Services

  • Respond to employee HR enquiries and requests.

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee benefits.

  • Support employees throughout the employee lifecycle.

  • Promote a positive customer-service culture within the HR function.

Finance & Commercial:

  • Support optimization initiatives. 

  • Comply with monthly budget expenditure controls.

Leadership / Management:

  • Participate in cross functional teamwork to achieve functional objectives.

  • Demonstrate agility and tenacity.

People:

  • Assist the team to focus on the task at hand and remove obstacles.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure work processes are free from safety and health hazard and that subordinates are trained to ensure safety.

  • Model behaviour consistent with the Allied Safety Vision and Values.

  • Apply departmental health and safety goals.

  • Participate in processes to ensure a safe workplace for all.

Compliance and Business Improvement:

  • Ensure compliance with related policies, procedures and programs as required by Allied, KGM, and the regulator.

  • Report all people=related risks and liabilities and assist in ensuring these risks and liabilities are recorded.

  • Participate in risk assessments as required.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI): Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Kurmuk Gold Mine PLC Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Relevant HR certification will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in Human Resources Administration or Shared Services.

  • Experience working with HR information systems and payroll processes.

  • Experience within mining, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments will be advantageous
