Wings of Healing is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Admin and Finance Assistant Intern to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in financial administration, cash management, and general office support within a professional and purpose-driven organization.
As an intern, you’ll work closely with the finance and administration teams, supporting daily operations, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and contributing to smooth office management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Petty Cash Management

  • Manage petty cash and ensure timely replenishment.

  • Prepare petty cash payment vouchers with proper authorization and attach all supporting documents.

2. Invoice and Payment Processing

  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices and payment vouchers.

  • Issue receipts, agreements, and other related documents.

  • Assist program staff in financial facilitation for trainings, attendance tracking, and payment transfers.

3. Financial Transactions

  • Review figures, TIN, and supporting documents before effecting payments.

  • Ensure accurate filing and documentation of all financial transactions.

4. Cash Handling

  • Receive and post payments in the accounting system and Excel under supervision.

  • Update financial tracking sheets and support data accuracy.

5. General Office Support

  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering calls, and handling correspondence.

6. Payroll Support

  • Prepare payroll and facilitate staff salary transfers by the 27th of each month.

  • Manage salary advances, loans, and issue receipts accordingly.

7. Payment Processing

  • Ensure timely settlement of monthly utility bills (Wi-Fi, telephone, etc.).

  • Renew data packages and report updates to the supervisor before due dates.

8. Tax and Payables Management

  • Settle all monthly payables including income tax, pension, and withholding taxes.

  • Ensure all financial transactions follow proper accounting procedures.

9. Procurement Support

  • Assist in procurement activities such as vacancy postings, collecting proformas, preparing price analysis sheets, and purchase orders.

  • Ensure goods and services are received as per contracts before payments are made.

10. Expense and Travel Management

  • Manage expense data entry and ensure timely settlement of advances and purchases.

11. Documentation & Asset Management

  • Prepare goods receiving vouchers and maintain accurate filing systems.

  • Keep an updated fixed asset register and monitor office supplies inventory.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: BA in Accounting and Finance

  • Experience: Fresh Graduate (0 years experience required)

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
