People in Need is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded on the ideals of humanity, freedom, equality and solidarity.
People in Need was established in 1992 by a group of Czech war correspondents, journalists and activists and has grown to become one of the largest non-profit organization in Central and Eastern Europe.
Throughout our 30 years of existence, People in Need continues to engage in humanitarian aid, development cooperation, education and social inclusion.
We have been operating in Ethiopia since 2003, working in Five regions; Oromia, Central Ethiopia, South Ethiopia, Sidama and Tigray in different multi sectoral projects in the areas of development and emergency response.
People in Need, from the very start of its operations in Ethiopia, has focused on projects in five main areas of interest: Education, Agriculture, Climate and Environment, Water and Social protection.
We are part of Alliance 2015, (https://www.alliance2015.org/ a strategic network of seven European non-governmental organizations engaged in humanitarian aid and development projects. This collaboration increases effectiveness, both in working in the target countries and in campaigns change to advocacy aimed at influencing the attitudes and policies of politicians and general public opinion and awareness in Europe.

PIN would like to invite energetic, disciplined, responsible Female intern applicant to work under IT department
Length of internship: for 6 months
Number required: 1 (one)
Salary: 6,500 ETB
Place of Work: - Based in Hawassa Sidama Region with frequent field travel to PIN’s project sites in different regions as required.
Some specific tasks are:
Ø CLIENT STATIONS
o Installing, reinstalling operating system and PIN approved and recommended software
o Installing software updates
o Installing all necessary and recommended security updates
o Setting up user profile according to PIN policies
o Connecting client stations to network resources, such as shared disks, printers etc
o Follow-up the cleanness of the PIN assets (Laptop, Desktop) frequently
o Monitor short-term loans of asset (Tablets, Camera, Smartphone)
o Make sure the assets function well & registered on temporarily database when Fixed Assets movement.
Ø HELPDESK
o Standard troubleshooting of client's hardware and software problems to the extent of experience (including printers, scanners, faxes etc.)
o Consulting advanced helpdesk issues with IT Officer
o Prioritizing helpdesk issues
o Setting up emails and logins for PIN staff as advised by the line manager.
Ø NETWORKING
o Setting up and maintaining basic LAN and Wireless network with emphasis on security and order
o Consulting advanced design and modifications of LAN and Wireless network with line manager
Ø General obligations and responsibilities
o Regular reporting to direct line manager.
o Observe rules of signed confidentiality agreement
o Observe software legality in accordance with PIN policies
o PIN is a relief and development organization whose aim is to help and assist needy people. The worker’s position within the institution requires contacts with outside; he or she therefore conveys a certain image of PIN. PIN expects its workers to behave in appropriate manners at all times and in all places. All members of staff should ensure their attitudes correspond to PIN principles, both during and after working hours.
o The worker takes over the responsibility for all entrusted material or cash. The Worker is obligated to cover all damages or losses caused by his carelessness. The Agreement of Liability of Assets has been signed separately.

Job Requirements
Minimum BA degree in Computer Science Technology and Information System and other related fields of study from a recognized higher education institution
Only Graduates of 2024 or 2025 E.C
Only zero years of work experience required
Good interpersonal communication skills
Installing, and reinstalling operating system
Installing software and Software updates
Connecting client stations to network resources
Setting up and maintaining sustainable protection against malicious software (viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware etc.)
Good judgment regarding confidentiality and respect for sensitive materials
